The weather played havoc with a lot of fixtures this weekend and our Feile boys were impacted. The boys are making history this year as it’s the first time we have entered 2 Feile teams. Unfortunately our game versus St Olafs was postponed as Dolphin Park was unplayable and St Olafs were unable to host.
Our game versus St Jude’s was also in doubt as Tymon Park was also under pressure. However, St Jude’s managed to find a suitable venue in Abbottstown and it was great to be able to play in such a fine venue.
Despite the difficult conditions our boys rose to the occasion and got off to a good start with a great performance. The spoils shared in the end on a final score of Kevins 0-9 v St Jude’s 2-3. The lads dug deep in the last 15 minutes when behind and playing into a gale and almost got what would have been a deserved victory. Thanks to all who came out and supported the boys on what was a terrible morning weather wise.
Many thanks to the mentors in both clubs who worked hard to ensure this game went ahead!
Our next games are on Sunday 9th March
- Home V Kilmacud Crokes
- Away V Craobh Chiarain
