Our Under 16 hurlers travelled north this weekend to the Glens of Antrim for a series of training sessions and mentoring by some excellent coaches from Antrim.
Dunloy was the venue on Friday night where their senior hurlers took us for a training session. Many thanks to the Elliot brothers (Nigel and Sean) and their cousin Ryan who gave some goalkeeper insights. Also to Ryan McGarry.
This was followed by a visit to Cushendall on Saturday morning and then onto Loughiel in the evening. Many thanks to legendary hurler Sambo McNaughton, Antrim captain Neil McManus and Loughiel legend Liam Watson for giving our boys some of their time and wisdom.
Also many thanks to Sean McBride and Jimmy McVeigh of Carey Faughs for their hospitality over the course of the weekend.
