Our 2nd and 3rd squads also lined out over the week-end. Our Junior C hurlers lost to Thomas Davis and our Junior G beat Round Towers of Lusk on Monday night.
In other championship news, our Intermediate Mixed GAA Rounders side travelled to Athenry to play their last group game which was a effectively a play-off to determine who would qualify for the next stage, as both team had lost only one game. Played in wet and windy conditions , Kevins lead throughout and pulled away in the last innings to win 18-8. Scores by innings were 4-1, 4-4, 1-0, 1-0, 8-3. Our Junior Ladies travel to Wexford to play Castletown Liam Mellows on Sunday morning and a win will see them top their group and qualify for their semi-finals. Our Minor Ladies are due to host Bagenalstown of Carlow.
