Our Donore Avenue Credit Union ABC Nursery graduates had their first game today, as they travelled to Rathcoole to take on Commercials in a friendly game. The squad was split into 3 teams and Commercials rotated their teams in the GO GAMES format. There was plenty of skills on show from both clubs with excellent, blocking, striking and passing being demonstrated. The games were played in great spirits and the hospitality from Commercials was top class.
This group of players have been training every Saturday morning at 10.30 am and also meet under flood lights on Wednesdays at 6 pm. Our club GPO Paul McManus has been very involved in the coaching to date along with some parents. Our GPO will transition back to the Nursery early next year and this group will play Under 8 GO GAMES. For more information on the Go Games format for 2024 you can click here.
As this group are likely to be entered into the “3 Team” category, we will need some more volunteer coaches. We would love to hear from parents who can assist with coaching and / or administration of the team.
