What a great way to end the season! Our Under 19 hurlers travelled to Sean Moore Park yesterday morning to take on Clan na Gael in the Under 19 D Hurling Championship final. The teams have played each a number of times in recent years with the Ringsend boys having a slight edge as they beat Kevin’s by 2 points in the Under 18 final last year.
This year’s final didn’t disappoint as it was a real thriller in Ringsend! Leading 2-5 to 1-7 at half time, we managed to stay ahead and pip Clan na Gael by a point in an absolute nail biter! Final score 3-13 to 3-12! Well done to all the players and mentors. No doubt the large support on the line spurned the lads on for a point or two and it was lovely to see so many families out supporting. Lots of younger brothers and sister on the line who will be encouraged by the success!
Many thanks to photographer on the day (and proud daddy) Eoghan Redmond! Check out the gallery below.
